Whether you’re training for your first-ever 5K, or an experienced marathoner, your ability to breathe is foundational to every step you take.

When's the last time you thought about your breathing while running?

I don't just mean when you’re running hard, giving it a lot of effort; I mean right from the beginning warm up, throughout the entire run, all the way to the end, including cool down.

When's the last time your breathing dictated the pace of your run?

This is what Breath Running™ is all about.  Taking the single most important variable involved in running - your ability to consume and utilize oxygen - and actually making it the priority.  Not “a” priority - THE priority.

  • Coach Sandy

Experience has shown us that there’s no better motivation to getting out of bed in the morning than having your “coach” bark at you, especially if you’re moving too slowly for her liking!

Coach Sandy is our motivation guru. She specializes in trail and beach runs. Any chance we have where we can safely include her in our activities, we try to bring her along to keep us moving with a smile on our face.

  • You

The most important person on this team is YOU. You’re the one bringing the energy and enthusiasm to your runs! About Our Principles

All For One, and One For All

No matter the distance, running can be a grueling test of stamina. Whether running your way through a race course or just around the park, it requires a lot of strength and endurance, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. As hard as it is, it can be a wonderful pathway to a lifestyle that brings joy, health and well-being to damaged bodies, minds and hearts.

The running community is known colloquially as “The Tribe,” and its member are, by and large, the most generous, warm hearted and supportive people we have ever had the privilege of knowing. We’re adamant about keeping it that way. Breath Runner™ cherishes inclusion. The only things we will not tolerate are intolerance and/or disreputable behavior. We’re committed to promoting a community in which all individuals are welcome and treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. Personal responsibility to adhere to the highest standards of conduct, whether in competition, in training, or in life, are paramount values we advocate. As such, we are proud to proclaim the following:

  • Breath Runner™ and all of its events are a safe and inclusive space for all.

  • Discrimination or harassment of any type on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, or any other characteristic protected by law will not be tolerated, on or off the course.

  • Our primary purpose is to enable a love for running and to help others achieve their personal best in whatever athletic endeavor in which they choose to participate. Illicit conduct, including but not limited to things like use of banned substances, cheating, and/or inappropriate behavior towards fellow competitors, officials, volunteers, and/or spectators will not be sanctioned, and may be grounds for a termination of services by AquaTerra Coaching, LLC without refund.
